The Bokashi Organko 2 by Skaza is the ideal solution to easily compost your food waste indoors. Compact, discreet and stylish, it blends perfectly into any kitchen while effectively reducing everyday waste.
Unlike traditional composting, Bokashi uses a fermentation process (not decomposition). Thanks to the addition of a Bokashi activator based on effective micro-organisms (EM), food waste ferments quickly, with no odour and no pests.
The word “bokashi” is a Japanese term meaning “fermented organic matter”. In fact, it is fermented by EM (friendly bacteria). These bacteria will speed up the fermentation process of organic matter in the composter.
Bokashi has a positive effect on the soil, enriches the earth, feeds the garden and is great for our planet by reducing daily waste. Making compost with a Bokashi is extremely simple. With its design, discretion and compact format, it is ideal as a kitchen composter.

WHY TWO BOKASHI?
The advantage of the 2-bucket set:
While the fermentation is happening in the 1st composter (for 15 days), the second is available to continue getting rid of new waste (during the following 15 days).
We advise using two Bokashis. Once the first is full, it needs to be kept closed and resting for 2 weeks for the food waste to ferment. Meanwhile, you can start filling the second bucket which is ready to use!
Advantages
This indoor composter has several advantages:
- It is equipped with a plug so you can enjoy compost tea without handling waste.
- The compactor covers the whole width of the bucket, so you can compact waste efficiently and without mess.
- Opening and closing it is very easy.
- Awarded a Red Dot Award: Product Design.
Principle and Use:
- Put your cooked and raw food scraps in the composter.
- Sprinkle with two tablespoons of Bokashi activator.
- Compact your waste using the included compactor to squeeze the air out of the organic matter.
- Always keep the lid closed – the less air, the better.
- Empty the excess liquid using the tap at the bottom of the composter.
When the bucket is full, empty the contents into a small hole or trench in your garden (or into the green waste bin, a worm composter or even at the waste centre).
The waste will be fermented, but not yet decomposed. It must be mixed into the soil for physical decomposition into humus (soil). Alternatively, the organic matter from the bucket can be added to your garden composter. For best results, keep this matter covered with soil and other compostable materials.
