The block of natural coconut fibres is a versatile substrate, perfect for Vermicomposting, worm farming, but also for pot plant growing and as natural bedding for certain animals, especially tortoises and reptiles. Its 100% natural composition makes it a healthy and eco-friendly alternative to conventional soils and beddings.
Quality and safety
Each block is washed and desalinated, guaranteed to be free from fungi, germs and added fertilisers. No additives are included, making it safe for worms, plants and animals alike.
Before use, simply rehydrate the block with a maximum of 2.5 litres of water. In 15 to 20 minutes, you get about 9 litres of soft, airy and homogeneous substrate. This structure encourages airflow, maintains optimal humidity and allows worms to move easily and to work efficiently from the start.
For the Worm compost bin and worm farming
The coconut block is a perfect base to start or renew substrate in a Worm compost bin or for raising worms (fishing, breeding). Unlike many commercial soils, it contains no chemicals that might disturb or drive worms away.
The coconut substrate is especially useful when the medium becomes too compact or too moist. It balances moisture, stabilises pH and provides a healthy environment that encourages worm activity.
For potted plants and gardening
Coconut fibres can also be used as soil for potted plants. Their excellent water retention lets you maintain constant humidity around the roots without excess water. The substrate remains light, airy and won’t compact over time, so roots can develop optimally.
It can be used alone or mixed with soil, compost or Vermicompost, especially for indoor plants, seedlings, herbs or for species sensitive to overwatering. Coconut fibres are also an ideal neutral support for plants requiring good drainage.

For animal bedding (tortoises, reptiles, small animals)
Thanks to its natural composition and strong absorbency, the coconut block also makes ideal bedding for tortoises, reptiles and some small animals. Once rehydrated, it offers a comfortable, soft and slightly humid ground, close to their natural environment.
Coconut fibre helps regulate moisture, limits odours and contains no dust or chemical additives, reducing the risk of irritation or respiratory issues. It’s particularly appreciated for terrariums of land or tropical tortoises, lizards and amphibians.
