Grey EM® ceramic pearls and beads are made from Kibushi clay fermented with effective EM® microorganisms, then fired at high temperature (1,200–1,300°C).
They are a 100% natural solution to improve tap water quality and reduce problems relating to chlorine and limescale.

How to use & maintain
First use:
Before first use, place the pearls in a jug of water for 30 minutes. This contact time allows for maximum effectiveness.
Quarterly maintenance:
To maintain performance, clean every 3 months as follows:
- Scrub and rinse the pearls in hot water.
- Soak overnight in slightly diluted white vinegar.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Boil for 20 minutes.
After that, they're ready for reuse.
Uses – Recommended dosages
Water jug / pitcher
10 to 15 pearls/beads per litre
Leave for at least 15 minutes before use.
Kettle / Coffee maker
12 to 25 pearls/beads depending on appliance size.
Washing machine
Up to 50 pearls/beads depending on machine size.
Place in a pouch or sock.
Reduces limescale and helps protect your appliance.
Dishwasher
Up to 40 pearls/beads.
Place in the cutlery basket.
Vase
20 to 30 pearls at the bottom of the vase.
Fruit & veg basket
15 to 25 pearls/beads.
Fridge
25 to 35 pearls/beads in a small bowl.
Aquarium / Pond
About 50 pearls/beads per 100 litres (depending on setup).
Pets
15 to 25 pearls/beads (external use, e.g. in a collar).
Precautions
- Keep out of reach of small children (small pieces).
- Do not use broken pearls/beads for drinking water.
- Do not use pink pearls for hot water (less durable).
