EM Prominant Gel is an innovative care gel made with Effective Micro-organisms (EM®), for the horse’s hooves, frogs and skin.

EM Prominant Gel - Massage gel for horses

Its thick texture allows prolonged adherence to the treated area, while its applicator tip makes for easy and precise application—even deep into the frog.

Many micro-organisms live naturally on and around the horse. Wet or wintry conditions (mud, damp bedding) put hooves and skin under strain.

EM Prominant Gel provides Effective Micro-organisms (EM®) on the treated area (hoof or skin), which contribute to the balance of its natural flora.

Its gel texture ensures prolonged contact with the area concerned.

Instructions for use

  • Clean and dry the area if needed.
  • Apply the gel directly to the affected area.
  • Use the nozzle for deep application into the frog.
  • Repeat the application regularly, especially during wet periods.

The composition of Prominant Gel is simple: water, cane sugar molasses and EM micro-organisms (lactic acid bacteria, yeasts and other micro-organisms). It is a gel for external use, for the horse's hooves and skin. Its thick texture allows it to stay in place on the treated area.

No, Prominant Gel is not a veterinary medicine and it does not treat any condition. It is used for the regular care of the frog and skin, applied to an area that has been cleaned and dried if necessary. If your horse's foot has a strong smell, or your horse is lame or has a wound or scabs, consult your vet or farrier.

Clean and dry the area if necessary, then apply Prominant Gel directly. Its applicator nozzle lets you reach deep into the grooves of the hoof's frog, and its thick texture stays in place. Reapply as often as necessary, particularly in wet weather or in winter.

Use Prominant Gel as often as necessary: the manufacturer states that repeated use is possible and recommends it for regular care, especially in wet or wintry conditions, when the feet stay damp. For example, apply it after picking out the feet, on a clean frog.
